Privacy policy

Overview

Guess Reference Sheet is a free practice game for HSC Mathematics students. We collect only what is needed to run the site and multiplayer rooms.

What we collect

• Display name — if you join a multiplayer room, you choose a name shown to other players in that room.
• Game data — room codes, pins, and scores are stored temporarily in our database while a room is active (rooms expire after about 10 minutes of inactivity).
• Local storage — a random player ID and optional room session are saved in your browser so you can rejoin a room on the same device.
• Hosting logs — our host (Vercel) may log standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.

What we do not collect

We do not require an account, email address, or payment details to play. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is described above.

Third parties

Multiplayer rooms use Upstash Redis (via Vercel). The site is hosted on Vercel. The header links to ResponseHSC, a separate website. Each service has its own privacy practices.

Cookies & storage

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. We use browser local storage for a player ID and room session. You can clear this at any time via your browser settings or by starting a new game.
